Children’s denim is the second-largest denim garment line on the exchange after men’s, and has traded steadily since 2023.
Turkmenistan grows the cotton, spins the yarn, weaves the denim and cuts the garment inside its own borders. The Türkmenbaşy jeans complex — GAP-Türkmen CJSC, operating since 1996 on the Ashgabat–Türkmenbaşy road — runs denim weaving and garment making on one site under the Ministry of Textile Industry.
Turkmen denim garments are quoted on the state commodity exchange without the cost of accessories — buttons, rivets, zips, labels and packaging are priced separately or supplied by the buyer. Compare that against a Turkish or Bangladeshi FOB quote, which normally includes trims, or the Turkmen figure will look lower than it is. Ask for the trimmed price when you enquire and we will get both.
