How the grading works
Every format is the same Albion berry; what changes is the size grade and the presentation. The three counted packs — Exclusive, Premium and Deluxe — are sold by berry count in a rigid gift tray and take the largest fruit. The weighed packs — Gowher, Compact and Mini — are punnets sold by net weight and step down through the smaller grades. Flower is a 100 g shaped tray for gifting. Growing
Grown under glass rather than in open field, which is what allows a Central Asian producer to hold fruit quality and to supply outside the short local outdoor season. Harvest is by hand, and grading is by hand into the seven formats above.
Applications
Retail produce aisles and gift counters, hotel and restaurant supply, and fresh input for food manufacturers making preserves, bakery fillings, dairy inclusions and frozen fruit. The counted gift trays sell into the premium and corporate gifting trade.
Loading and delivery
Fresh produce, so it moves under temperature control and to a schedule. State the format, the volume and the destination with the enquiry and the producer will come back with a delivery window as well as a price. Air freight suits the counted gift packs; refrigerated road transport suits volume punnet orders across the region.
