- Counts GPY-70 to GPY-300, that is 70 to 300 denier or 7.8 to 33.3 tex
- Tenacity 3.5 g/den through GPY-250, rising to 6.4 g/den at GPY-300
- Elongation 50–20 % at the finest counts, narrowing to 25 ± 5 % at GPY-300
- Count tolerance ± 5 %, breaking load tolerance ± 0.5 g/den
- Raw material: granulated polypropylene produced in Turkmenistan, with a light-stabilising concentrate added during spinning

Properties
- Lowest specific gravity of any commercial fibre, so the same fabric weighs less
- Does not absorb water, oil or other liquids; soiling washes out rather than staining
- Neutral to acids, alkalis and other aggressive media
- Light-stabilised, and resistant to sudden temperature change
- Not colonised by micro-organisms
- High specific volume and low thermal conductivity
Applications
Technical fabrics including filter cloth, workwear fabric, knitted fabric and knitwear, hosiery, furniture and decorative textile, and haberdashery. Also tapes for the garment industry and overlock thread. The heavier counts in this range — GPY-150, GPY-200 and GPY-300 — are the ones used for slings, belts, packing tape, cord and rope.
Loading and delivery
EXW Ashgabat. Yarn is wound on bobbins and shipped on pallets. The producer exports to Turkey, Southeast Asia, Europe and the CIS.
