Selecting a count
- GPY-900, 1000, 1100 and 1200 — sewing thread for woven polypropylene sacks
- GPY-2000, 2500 and 3000 — thread for FIBC big bags and bulk containers
- GPY-450 to GPY-840 — conveyor belting, packing tape and lighter cord
- GPY-1500 to GPY-4000 — slings, lifting belts, rope and heavy webbing
Properties
- Lowest specific gravity of any commercial fibre, so a sling or rope of equal strength weighs less
- Does not absorb water, oil or other liquids, and floats
- Neutral to acids, alkalis and other aggressive media
- Light-stabilised, and resistant to sudden temperature change
- Not colonised by micro-organisms
Applications
Sewing thread for woven polypropylene sacks and FIBC big bags, conveyor belts, slings and lifting belts, packing tape, cord and rope, and heavy webbing for the garment and industrial trades.
